Anyone has any tips on how to study and pass pharmacology?

IMO, Pharmacology is pretty much a bunch memorization. I'd say no conceptual thought behind it. I suppose you could say, well if this drug is an Anti-Muscarinic, then it does this, that and the other thing, but that still pretty much comes down to memorization anyway.

I'm not an advocate of memorization, I don't think it gets you all that far, obviously, some memorization is essential, but I think you really need to know theory and concepts behind things not only to really understand the material but to be successful career-wise.

However, in the case of pharmacology, I can't really find any other way than to just memorize everything.

Make flash cards and just drill those things everyday. I'm not a flashcard person to be honest, I just look at my notes, but flashcards seem to work very well for people in Pharm.

Just memorize like crazy.

General/Systemic and Ocular Pharmacology are very core essential classes. I would pay attention, and memorize as much as possible. New drugs come out all the time, and the field is always changing. Patients seem to be more receptive when you can talk to them about their medications and secondary effects that it could have on the eyes.
