Hello Guys:

I am now preparing for Step 2, and frankly I need to finish my preparation and take an exam within 3 months.

So I would like to ask you about the resources of study:

As a review book: boards & wards (3rd edition), secret.
Internal Medicine: Kaplan 2008 – 2009.
Surgery: Kaplan 2008 – 2009.
Pediatrics: Kaplan 2008 – 2009, Pretest.
Obs/Gyn: Kaplan 2008 – 2009 or High-Yield (which one is better)
Psychiatric & Biostatistics: Kaplan 2008 – 2009.
Questions resources: UW, Qbank, First Aid (Q&A).
I also intend to see Kaplan DVDs as a supplement..
So is it enough to pass the exam with flying colors?!
I am waiting for your advice.
Thanks in advance.

uh. that should be more than enough to smoke the step 2. that is if you actually read every book. seriously though UW is your best resource. i wouldn't bother with kaplan or first aid. i would advise your learn UW absolutely cold. i would do UW twice opposed to doing UW and all of qbank. LEARN UW ABSOLUTELY IN AND OUT and you should have no problem achieving your goal.

thanks for reply Amy B 😀

For the Psychiatric which one is better Kaplan or H.y, or is board & wards enough?

I think boards and wards is enough. i didnt use any other things for Psych, but I have always scored high on that subject so I would say it might depend on how well you've done with psych. Definetly not anything in depth or detailed. Just the very basics. Kaplan is a good resource and not usually too wordy.

:luck:
