Hello! I want to take 2 classes in spring. I don't have a penny to help pay for those classes. I went and talking to my CC financial aid adviser and they said they do not offer any financial aid for spring/summer classes. I would like to take a private loan, I am 17 years old. Not sure if that will be an issue. Where do I looking for the private lenders? How are they different from public ones?

First time I have ever heard a CC not offering financial at all for certain semesters. I assumed you filled in a fafsa? If you are in CA you may be able to apply for a fee waiver if family income is below a certain level if a fafsa doesn't work.

They won't let me apply unless I have my diploma or GED.
