Does anyone have experience with this? Ive been thinking really hard about it and I believe I will be putting down a new deposit at a diff school. I guess Im just nervous about how to go about withdrawing the offer that I accepted on December 1st.

Make it short and sweet

"I really appreciate the opportunity but have chosen to go somewhere else"

The interview cycle may be mostly over but that means waitlists are starting to move. They'll happily give your spot to an equally happy waitlisted student and I can't imagine there will be any hard feelings since it's well before orientation/start of classes for every school.

You don't have to be overly polite about it, just professional and courteous: "Thank you for the opportunity, but I have decided to attend a different program." They're not providing you with a free service, you actually paid quite a lot of money to have them review your app.
