Hi everyone (was unable to find a thread about this) -

I'm an MS4 going into Neurology and wanted some advice for fellowship per the thread title. I am interested in clinical neurophysiology, I find both reading EEGs and evoked potentials/EMGs fascinating, both in technical and clinical terms.

The residency program where I'm going has no associated fellowship in this (at least not yet) so I'm wondering, how exactly does someone go about preparing for such a fellowship? I'm not interested in anything academic career-wise, just increasing my experience and credentials so I can find a job in reading EEGs and EMGs/evoked potentials.

So you would want a fellowship in Neurophysiology. Good news is that there are much more spots than applicants. Just apply to low-tier fellowships and you will match!

Any fellowships where this not the case? Do most fellowships increase salary?

I doubt multiple sclerosis, behavioral neurology or movement disorders fellowships will increase salary. If the fellowship has a significant procedural component or highly reimbursed test, then it'll increase salary. Doing a fellowship means going into practice with less time seeing general neurology patients.
