How to prepare for orgo 2?

I just want to do well in the course. Would studying organic chemistry as a second language second semester topic help or should I review orgo 1 material or study ochem mcat books? Are there any other resources to pre-study for orgo 2?

When did you take orgo 1 and how did you do ?

In addition to Organic Chem as a Second Language (which I personally found extremely helpful), I would make sure you are very comfortable with all of the big O Chem I concepts. Nomenclature, resonance, stability, acid/base, drawing mechanisms, etc. The best advice I got from my O Chem TAs was to understand why everything happens, not just what happens. It made memorization much easier for me.

I'm in the same boat of needing to prepare for Orgo 2. I took Orgo 1 a few semesters ago and need to brush up on the topics.

I'm doing both - reviewing Orgo 1 material and previewing topics in Orgo 2. Previewing topics helped me get an A in Orgo 1 so I am hoping it will help for Orgo 2 as well.

I prefer watching lectures over going over books, so I'm utilizing a YT lecture series (that lectures on the same book we'll be using in class) I found. I take notes and review them daily. These lectures are 1.5 - 2 hours long, but I feel that they provide me with details that I may miss just skimming through a textbook.

For other people who prefer watching lectures: I watched a lot of AK Lectures on Youtube to supplement biochemistry. I haven't watched his O Chem lectures, but his biochem ones are fantastic.
