To me this is the worst section on the DAT. I can't really see how the problems work :scared: How to enhance my visual perception skills??

Practice is all you need. You'll see a huge improvement within a week or two. In my case, I saw improvement within a week. Use whatever PAT prep you can get your hands on. That's what I did. Good luck!

Practice is the key 👍

Purchase Crack DAT PAT (CDP) and work through their practice tests. It has been wonderful for me so far. I also started out having a lot of trouble with PAT, but going through CDP and reading peoples' advice on this site (God bless SDN) really helped me get better at PAT.

When I first started using CDP, I was getting around 18, and it was still hard. But after practicing with multiple tests, I started scoring around 20 and 21 by test #6. It just starts to "click" after some time....trust me.

From what I hear, keyholes on CDP are easier than the actual DAT, but hole-punching is harder on CDP...so I guess it evens out. I take my DAT in about 9 days, so I can't tell you for sure how it compares to the actual thing...I'm just relaying what I've heard from others. Good luck to you! Just keep practicing, and you'll be just fine.

CDP has really great solutions so you'll see exactly where you make mistakes.

The eye-balling game is really good to prepare you for angle ranking.

For hole punching you can make a 4x4 table (CDP comes with a little print out sheet). This way you can mark holes as you mentally unfold the paper and never lose track of where the holes go.

I took my first one and got a pathetic 16, I couldn't time myself and skipped 29/90, and only got 48 correct questions. I just took my second one and scored 18 getting 54 correct, and running out of time for 10 of them.

Good luck!
