I got my financial aid package in the mail this week. It approves about 70K for the first year. The estimated costs acfcording to the school are 72K, my estimated costs (I am married and my wife will be in school as well) are closer to 80K. How do we get more money than is approved of by our school?

I visited the Citibank website and they will only approve the difference between what is already offered and what the school's estimated costs are

How do we get more money?? websites please

If your wife is a student shouldn't she also be eligible for financial aid?

Tim, my wife and I will be in the same situation in the next year or so. Only, she will be out so we will have to start paying her loans....uggggggg it's frustrating! I wish I had an answer for you!

There are some financial institutions that will give you student loans sort of "under the radar" in that they don't make any contact with your schools financial aid department.

The conditions usually aren't great thought; adjustable interest rates and origination fees.
