How to Sign Up for the OAT?

Hey,

when signing up for the OAT, do you have to pay the fee of the test, before you can see which dates and locations are available?

What is the likelihood of finding a date at the end of August if I sign up now?

Unfortunately you do. I have heard of some saying that you can call Prometric and ask for the dates. When I called, the lady told me I had to pay. Im guessing some staffs are more friendly and willing than others to assist you with that. I went ahead and paid for it a week ago and I plan on taking it mid August. I still havent picked a specific date yet but in my area (Arizona) there are plenty of dates left in August for me.

That sucks 🙁 , what if the dates or locations don't fit you (I need a date before august 31)? On the site, it says they don't do refunds... Can anyone else verify this?

Well, when you pay for the test, you have 6 months from the pay date to sign up and take the test. So if you plan on taking it within 6 months from now, there is really no pain in signing up now!

Oh sorry. Hmmmm I would definitely call Prometric and describe to them the exact situation you are in. I'm sure they will understand if that is the case. Give it a shot! It won't hurt
