Hi, I just have a question regarding how to study for the bio section; the thing that concerns me is that I haven't taken any courses in physiology or anatmony so I am really weak in this area. Can I be comfortable with this section by only using books like Kaplan or DAT Destroyer or is there anything else I should look into?

I think I am ok for OChem but not so sure about GChem (I've forgotten a lot of stuff). RC questions looks straightforward (from the ones I've seen) and I'm not sure about PAT (I've looked at a couple - some are ok, some are confusing; I really hate the hole and key one).

Anyways, thanks for the help.

Anatomy will not help in the bio section but pysio would to a significant degree. Don't worry tho, you can kick butt on the bio with the listed books you mentioned and Wikipedia. Bio isn't very conceptual like OChem. It's 20% concept and 80% memorization.

^Thanks🙂

I just realized I posted this in the wrong forum; should have put it in DAT discussions. Anyway to move this thread?

Pick up AP Cliffs Bio. It is A LOT better than Kaplan BB Bio and its only like 15 bucks.

Destroyer, Ap Cliffs Bio and/or Schuams and you are set. The thing with Bio is you can never have enough resources at your disposal.

Yeah I agree with what they've said. Cliff's AP Bio is well worth the 15 bucks or so that it costs...great at summarizing without leaving things out. I have never taken physio but have taken comparative anatomy of vertebrates, and it has been very helpful with topic like evolution and knowing what structures the books are talking about; however, I haven't seen too many "classic" anatomy questions on practice tests.

if the consensus was "no, you cannot do well unless you've taken a physiology course", what would you have done?

thanks
