How to study for step III

Step III is cush compared to step I, II.

What I did:

Read crush Step III (key), read first aid (key). Perform as many Q bank questions as you can (I did about 500). I know this is hard in residency, but is key.

I had a disadvantage as I am an ortho resident and know little about peds, medicine, ER, etc.


You will be surprised at how many questions are common sense. I actually was surprised with my score (equal to step 2)


OF NOTE: BEFORE you take the test do the tutorial on the clinical cases (it come on a CD). If you do not learn the format you could be screwed. I can not emphasize this enough. The cases are not hard. Be conservative, re-evaluate often, you will do fine.
