So I've been posting here and there, not a lot, but I'm having trouble getting a good score on the PCAT.

I know my materials (need to brush up on quant) very well....but according to the PCAT, it sucks. I've taken the PCAT once in January '08 before, and the scores were horrendous. This is the lack of excuse that I didn't study for this test. So, I bought the Dr. Collins test and Pearson's test, and I did significantly better on the second test, but not by a lot. Like a 22% increase, but it's still not competitive, which should tell you how fail of a test I had from the first encounter.

Here's the issue, how do I study for this kind of test? I've been reviewing test materials, and I don't know how far I should go to get a good score. My GPA is decent, I do work in a pharmacy, but this test is the only thing that's stopping me from going to pharmacy school, and it's really making me mad.

How do you guys study for this test? Do I need more practice materials? Any suggestions is welcome, I just wanted to vent on here and yeah, go form there.

If you have any questions, ask away.

Thanks.

Without knowing which sections are giving you trouble it is hard to give advice but I would suggest lots more practice. Practice for speed and understanding. Go through the Dr. Collins exams and the Pearson's exams and be able to tell why an answer is right and why the others are wrong. If you aren't sure, go back and review the concept so you know it very well. If you had a 22% increase, you already know what is working. Now do more of it.
