whats up people,

So I was just wondering how to take the bootcamp practice exams effectively. Do you guys approach it like this?:

1. take natural sciences (90 mins)
2. jump straight into PAT (60 mins)
3. take 15 min break
4.Reading (60 mins)
5.go right into RC (45 mins)

total test without break = 4 hrs 15 mins

It really comes down to what you feel most comfortable with. Personally, I could never sit there for 4hr 15 minutes doing practice tests with only a 15 minute break. During the real exam I had so much adrenaline that whether or not I built up "test stamina" didn't really matter. I also liked to review the questions while they were still fresh in my head. You also want to make sure you are reviewing each answer thoroughly so if you are a little mentally drained after taking a full length practice test you could always wait until the next day to review the answers.

To echo what @cdp1210 said, it really depends on you. I took some Full Length exams through Kaplan to try and build up stamina but Test Day is like no other where you just kind of push through it because you have to and the time flies because you are concentrating so diligently. For me, I found doing the tests whenever I wanted to take a timed section was the most beneficial. I never did any tests consecutively to practice timing -- I just would say, hey, I just read through some notes for bio, let me take a section test, and then see how I did and learn from those questions. However, if you feel it may help you to do multiple in a row to simulate testing, go for it. Either way, you're going to be learning from it, and I think that's what's most important when preparing.

Personally, I took all 5 exams in less than a week. Where 1 exam per day, and save all the questions that I got wrong or the ones that contain a lot of information. I review the questions that I got wrong/informational ones everyday so that I won't repeat the same mistake. So by exam 4, I am always reviewing 1-3.

I recommend doing bootcamp earlier than me though. I just got finished, and my exam is on Monday. Regardless of the amount of information I learned this week, bootcamp has to be to best resource ever. I wish I used this first than other materials.

Good luck on your end, I have my test on Monday and this whole week I kinda do the same thing by go over the Science Section in BC. No matter how much information I retain from reviewing and doing the practice, I still feel like I'm not really ready for it 🙁

I used BC throughout my 8 weeks of studying starting at week 3. I made sure to save at least 1 test so I could simulate an actual DAT test though towards the end of my study cycle. There are 10 PAT tests though so I went crazy on those and the generators except for the last 3, which I used to simulate full tests with DAT achiever. Everybody is different though. You just need to experiment and figure out what works for you. Good Luck!
