I live in California, but the medical schools here are too competitive and expensive. My cgpa is 3.72 and my sgpa is 3.8 and my mcat is 29(B10 V10 P9). I was wondering what the requirement was to be a Texas resident to go to Texas medical schools?

My dad lives in Dallas. I am currently in California with my mom, but I have lived in Texas from july 2014 to december 2014.
I can easily get a Texas Driver license.

I looked online, but they are requirements to be a resident of Texas for the state, or they have vague requirement standards for universities in Texas.

Thanks in advance!!

Here's a link to the explanation, if your dad has lived in Dallas for more than a year and you would be considered a dependent of him then it seems you would be considered a resident. You wouldn't necessarily have had to have lived their for that time, just as long as you fit the above mentioned statement then you could be fine.

Wouldn't hurt to contact someone from tmdsas though.
