So if my goal is to take MCAT before May 2019, how should I go about things? With 3 semester left including this semester finishing up end of fall 2018 semester!

Any suggestions on how to go about this? Should also utilize AAMC Topics List too? The goal is to take it before May 2019 and get great score!

Since you won't be taking the MCAT until 2019, I would forget about the review books for now. Instead, I would really focus all my energy and effort into really understanding all the concepts in my classes. That is, not just get "A", but truly and fully get each concept in all the MCAT pre-requisite classes.

Depending on how strong your verbal reasoning/CARS background is, you could start reading a weekly journal such as The Economist or Foreign Affairs.

Since you already have these review books, you could read the relevant chapters before your classes and also take the particular book to class and fill in anything that may help clarified what you don't understand.

Having said all that. Forget about the review books for the MCAT for now and really focus on your classes and the other aspects of what would make you an exceptional candidate for medical school (EC, etc.).

Best of luck...

Hello! I have to take the MCAT next late January.
I'm in the formal full-time postbacc program (just finished my first semester). My question is when and how I should start studying for the MCAT?
I feel like I should start now because:
  • Spring 2018 - Chem2+ lab, Bio2+lab, Phys2+lab
  • Summer 2018 - Ochem 1, Ochem 2
  • Fall 2018 - Ochem lab, Biochem
  • Spring 2019 - Genetics, another elective
I have to take MCAT in January because of the linkage agreement. I have no other choice.
Do you have any advice for me when I should start studying? I will purchase Kaplan books and EC for CARS.
