those poor souls have to read 1000s of personal statements, i want to stand out by having an unique PS. I was wondering, how unique can mine be without being a turnoff. Is there a specific guideline?

there CAN'T be a guideline since there is the "personal" part in the PS.

It may be hard to be unique unless your life has been such and/or you have something different to say/relate.

haha yes definitely agreed. That PS is very personally unique (and risky but well written)
