How well do I need to do in my SMP?

well whats your GPA, scGPA and MCAT coming in?

If you have a 2.0 GPA then you'll need as close to a 4.0 as possible

The higher the better, but yeah, depends on the MCAT

With that MCAT score you should be good to go with a 3.7, but why not shoot for a 4.0?

To be "safe" your GPA will need to be >3.65 for mid-level school consideration.

Well? Is it absolutely necessary to get a 4.0, or will a 3.7 ish be sufficient to garner attention? Thanks!

The general consensus that I've heard around here for SMP friendly schools like Drexel and NYMC is a 3.5 minimum. This translates to high pass (A-/B+) for all of your classes or an equal mix of pass (B) and honors (A). If you want to get into Georgetown though, I've heard that you need to honor most of your classes (so 3.7+). Of course, it also depends on how well you did coming into the program. If you have a 3.0 and a 28 MCAT, I'd imagine that you pretty much need a 4.0 in any SMP program. On the other hand, with your stats (Don't quote me on this), I think you can get by with mostly high passes (3.5+),
