My class is taking the path and pharm shelf exams for our finals and we have been told by the professors that the averages are typically 72 and 74 respectively...but I went and looked on the NBME website, which says that the mean is scaled to a 70 with a standard deviation of 8...so if it's scaled to our school, then shouldn't the average be a 70? or is it scaled some other sort of way?
And how exactly does percentage on the exam correlate? Also, I'm doing the Robbins question book and doing extremely well, only getting wrong between 1-3 questions per chapter...how will this correlate to the shelf exam?
