How would you calculat this?

If I want to know how many credits or units I have so far in my academic career. how do I calculate that?

Is it something like these?

Semester 1: took 15 units and passed 15

Semester 2: took 18 units and passed 18

Semester 3: took 18 units and passed 15. Dropped a 3 unit class and got a W.

So will my credit hrs/units for the 3 semester will be 15+18+15 = 48 semester units? and those 3 on the W are not counted?


I thought credit hours were the simply credits you take per semester. Like 4 ( 3 unit classes) is 12 semester units.
