Dartmouth

Boston University

SLU

Is U of T considered a top school in the States? If you had the opportunity, which school would you choose? This is a hypothetical question btw.

As a general note: i think canada (ie. McMaster, Western, UofT etc) has above average medical schools. However, they are not as good as the top tier US schools.
I would rank the competiveness and research opportunities some within the top 50 but not with in top 20.

My perception would be Dartmouth > Duke > BU > SLU.

As for U of T, I have less of a feel for it, but know that it is one of the top schools in Canada and would probably consider it around Dartmouth's level.

Are you picking a school for undergrad or medical school?

Duke > UT > Dartmouth> BU=SLU (slight advantage to BU IMO). I always thought McGill was the top med school in Canada.

lolwut? is SLU even ranked?

duke>>ut(based on cost)>bu=dartmouth>>slu

Not sure. I was going by the impressions of people that have interviewed at both, as well as match lists. I don't think that BU is THAT much better, but it's just an opinion.

Another consideration is cost. It is much cheaper to live in St. Louis than Boston.

Well, if you go to BU, you don't have to study.

I overheard it from this guy last night at a bar on campus.
