Anyone know when is the first day we have to report to howard university to start residency? Yes I did try to email them but no one answers my emails. I am currently overseas and would like to know when to buy my return flight. Can anyone who is in the program comment on this? Thank you!

Call them.

You obviously have internet access, and there's a million different services you can use to make phone calls over the web to a US number (google chat/voice included).

I tried calling before to all three numbers listed on their website but no one picked up. Its also hard for me to be free at the right time to call because of the time zone issue. I guess Ill keep trying -.-

I called the Office of GME for you. Their orientation starts on June 14th. Better get to it. FREIDA does not even have a work hour average for them... so does that mean they routinely violate the 80 hours?

That was quite nice of you.

that was nice I agree...

are you a bit worried you are going to a program that doesnt email or call you back? shouldnt they be telling you about your contract, orientation, stuff like that? Ive not heard of a program that does this...but I remember this happeneing with this program last year as well in another post. kind of sketchy

that said, you'v e got access to specialties and you are in DC. not bad.

I presume he matched into opthalmology (should take a look at the optho thread if i bother)

Thus perhaps they treat their prelims this way?
