I received an email from Howard Dental School last week saying I have an interview! Im super pumped!!!
Im a little nervous... actually Im not gonna lie Im super nervous!!!!!

any tips for the interview process?

For the interview does anyone know an answer to why howard? I feel like the website is vague in the sense that they dont supply alot of information about the program...

I also was reading some blogs about how Howard Dental doesnt have a great faculty and administrators and alot of students do not graduate on time... Now whether or not this is true I do not know... Please enlighten me whether these are facts or lies.

That part is true because sooo many of the people going to that school dont deserve to be in a dental school. Its bs and we all know it, but complaining online wont do anything.

I was at this interview yesterday (19th Nov) and i am now conflicted. I was not really impressed by anything i saw at the school. But i know i can learn and do well there ( i don't need all the technological gimmics before i can sit down and study). What worries me is whether i'll get a quality education from there. Will i be taught all that i need to know or will the education be half-assed? I also got the impression that getting patients was a problem and so students tended to not graduate on time. Any input will be appreciated. I'm just worried since i'm pretty sure this might be my only interview.

@Pistorius I there too...
I have the same same concerns. Sharing clinical chairs its a lottery, recruiting your own patients, meeting the requirements in time!!! I feel the same way... but im pretty sure this is my only interview as well, so if I get accepted, should I weigh the pros and cons OR wait another year to apply for the 2013 cycle!?
There is no doubt in my mind if WE stayed determined and motivated we will graduate in time and get the OUR DDS as any other dental student going to dental school!

Stats AA 17 gpa 3.5 sGPA 3.4

If you have options, then try to avoid Howard.

If you have no option, choose Howard. Beggars cant be choosers.

I have options....I am thankful for that. But my option (Tufts) is very expensive. I know i can do well at either school, but I am worried over the debt and just don't know which to pick. I also know i want to specialize.....and the consensus on here is that as long as one works hard, one can specialize from any school (if this is really true, then I think I'll just stick with Howard). Am I making a mistake with this reasoning?
