Howard Interview

Has anyone had an interview at Howard yet?

Also, the Dean of Admissions called me yesterday to invite me for an interview THIS THURSDAY!!!!

She said that they had an open slot and since I live close by they figured they would call me.

But that's TWO days away...and I have not prepared myself AT ALL for the interview.

Should I just go for it and take the interview this Thursday or wait till the next available date, which is Nov. 20??????

I mentioned to her on the phone that Nov 20 would be kinda late in the cycle, and she said that Howard actually got a pretty late start this year so Nov 20th won't be too late for Howard.

Any advice?

The interviews I have been to have been pretty laid back and conversational. They already know you can handle dental school academically, now they want to see the type of person you are and that you have good people skills so you can communicate with patients and colleagues. Both interview dates are still before Dec 1st, so I don't really see an advantage of one over the other. Go with your gut instinct on when you think you're ready. Congrats and good luck!

Well it depends on several factors:
-Is HU your first choice?
-Have you interviewed or will interview at other schools?

If you review the interview feedback on here for Howard, you're pretty much set, but if you really don't feel comfortable, then wait.

well, im going for the interview this Thursday, so I guess I'll be seeing you at the interview! what time is yours at?

The interview session is from 9 - 12PM. The email said be prepared to stay the entire time.
