Hey guys! SO I just got an e-mail from Howard that I haven't taken some of the required science courses and that the admissions committee would like for me to take them before considering me for an interview. I still have to take Human Anatomy and Biochemistry but I'm planning on taking them the following fall and spring semesters (I've indicated this in the "Planned Courses" section of the AADSAS). I thought schools looked at planned courses for the required ones that you haven't taken yet. Is this not the case? Or is this only for some schools? Thanks!

Any response would be appreciated!! thanks

Hey there, I am in the same boat. I still haven't finished Biochemistry and Anatomy. But Howard hasn't emailed me about this information yet... If you check last year's thread, I believe some people had to call Howard.

Anyway, may I ask you something about Human Anatomy? I have taken Human Anatomy and Physiology. Do you think that counts as Human Anatomy? I saw that you need 6 semester hours. Does that mean there is a part 1 and part 2? I have searched everywhere, and I can't find a school that offers Anatomy part 2...

Okay, so I'll have to call them as well? I emailed them and said that I plan to take those classes next year and they replied that "the committee wants you to take those classes before we offer you an interview." Hopefully there's been a mistake or something...
I'm actually not sure myself how I'll take 6 semester hours of Anatomy. I think A&P should count as Human Anatomy but I would double check. My school offers a course in Anatomy and a separate one in Physiology. But there aren't two courses of Anatomy (pretty sure). I'll search more to see what else can count as Human Anatomy and will let you know! Thanks so much for your reply! Good luck 🙂

rdelza, thank you for answering my question. I have asked this question and I got a reply that Human A&P didn't count as Human Anatomy, but this was for a different school (UNLV I believe). Anyway, yeah, I think you should call Howard up just in case so they don't skip your application. Keep us updated on your situation.

Sounds like you are having a difficult time with the definition of "no".
