For those who have applied to Howard University, how many have been waitlisted? and for those who have been interviewed and got offers, is Howard ur 1st choice? and how does the waitlist thing work? I'm really worried because I'm on the waitlist and Howard is my one and ONLY school @ this time!🙁

i got accepted at howard, but i still have an interview at BU dental school in Jan. i dunno which one i am gonna attend, but i am leaning to BU. dont worry just wait i am pretty sure not everyone who got accepted to howard would for sure go there. so just dont freek out and it is all matter of time... so basically you are waiting on those ppl who got accepted to refuse the offer and you will take their seat...

My application at Howard was complete in August. I have not heard ANYTHING. I called and they said they will only look at my application after I graduate and get my BS in May 2010 !! Is that how they treat everyone? Do I have a chance? My score are above their requirements.

I think you may still have a chance because the final committee meeting for last decisions is April 1st so dont worry. And they generally dont like to hint about your chances or even tell you your status. But do you have any other interviews and what are your stats?

keep up hope...being wait-listed early is better than late...you're probably high on the list..

Hmm..I didn't realize they started waitlisting so early!
HU wasn't my first or only choice but I think I'll absolutely love it at that school. Everyone is so friendly and un-selfish! It's very homey, like one big happy family.

I wouldn't worry too much 🙂

lol..I didn't know "Haward by the Highway" had a waitlist. I thought everyone gets in here.

As if January 28, I got wait-listed at Howard too. Howard is my top choice. Does anyone know the percentage of people who follow up on their acceptances here? (ie, of the people they accept, how many actually attend).

my interview was on dec 4th.. mine updated on the 28th to wait list as well. I'm researching the same info... i'll post anything useful that i find.

We interviewed on the same day. I wonder how many of the 10 people in our interview group got in. We know at least 2 were wait-listed. Plus you know they had to reject some of them too. So I guess we're not in too bad of a situation 😕
