To my fellow med students, who are studying for Step 1, or have complete it, what were the resources that you have found most helpful, whether it be in Pathology, Biochem, Micro, Pharma? Is Pathoma as great as everyone says it is, how'd you ever get those micro memorization down? Those are just some things I'm interested in knowing. Please share what you found the most helpful to you. thanks.

You'll probably get better information by searching the forums for existing threads than reading the replies you get in this one thread.

-Path: Pathoma is truly as great as everyone says. Goljan audio is fantastic as well (but too low-yield if your test is in <2 months)
-Biochem: FA is all that is necessary, using textbooks/Google to clarify what needs to be clarified.
-Micro: Firecracker really helped me here, but I wouldn't advise getting Firecracker just for the Micro. Lots of people like Micro Made Ridiculously Simple or Kaplan, but I can't personally comment on either.
-Pharm: I loved Kaplan's Pharm lectures. I felt it was to Pharm as Pathoma is to Path, though lesser-yield overall.

Just remember UWorld and FA are the supreme masters of all topics. UWorld + FA + Pathoma is the classic "trinity" that people have gotten amazing scores using alone.

how'd you ever get those micro memorization down?

By forgetting every fact 4 times then hating myself. 5th time's the charm.

FC has been really great for micro, though I still haven't fully banked all of micro. Sketchy micro and Microcards were also invaluable during our ID class.
