Huge mistake, need help to try to fix!

I sent in a secondary essay with a giant blatant stupid mistake that I just noticed. Two years ago I almost applied to PA school. Since then I have been working really hard to become a good applicant for med school instead. The essay question was exactly the same so I cut ant pasted and edited but didn't do a very good job obviously. I forgot to delete PA and change into DO. I realized this after I mailed it and figured it was a lost cause. However, they invited me for an interview.???? I'm not sure what to do at the interview if this issue comes up. Any ideas?

If you got the interview then you don't need to worry about it.

If they bring it up, be apologetic and move on.

I would be honest tell them exactly that, but only if they bring it up. If you have an interview they like you enough to bring you in. Don't let that scare you. I noticed typos on my essays (secondary essays) it happens.

You don't need to worry. It's not even certain they will catch it and ask about it in the interview. IF they ask, then tell them you used part of an old PA essay from before you realized that you wanted to pursue more knowledge/responsibility via the DO degree. Just a typo--no biggie.

If it's Lecom Erie or PCOM maybe they'll think you meant Pennsylvania and not even mention it.
