I'm finally done with the MCAT and looking to sell my huge set of books compiled over the course of six months. This represents the cream of the crop: anyone who regularly visits SDN knows how in-demand these books are.
They are all in pristine condition with no writing or markings. The only exception is the TPR Hyperlearning Verbal Workbook which ONLY has the first three passages marked in by the previous owner. I went through the verbal workbook and consider it essential to anyone serious about VR section.
See attached photo for all 15 books.
I want to sell this as an entire set. The only exception is that I am willing to part with the TPR Verbal Workbook separately because I know how hard it is to find (it's not sold in stores). Please email best offer.
To get this entire set of all 15 books, I am looking for $500 which is a drop in the bucket compared to what people pay for "professional" review classes by Kaplan, Princeton Review, etc.
Shipping ranges from $11.75 for media mail (7-10 days), $40-50 for priority, or $104 for Next-Day delivery. They will go out same day or next depending on when the best offer comes in.
If you are about to review for the MCAT, do yourself a favor and do a quick search on SDN and find out how necessary these books are. Don't spend thousands on some review class. These books are hard to get and represent better material than anything else out there. Send all offers -- paypal only.
THE BOOKS:
The Berkeley Review -- 8 books -- complete set of 2009 and 2010 General Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Organic Chemistry.
Some are bound in paper because they are the intermediate additions with updated information that TBR sold to anyone buying the books between versions. The people at TBR told me these were the most up-to-date versions available and are actually more current than the non-paper-bound editions. I cannot recommend TBR highly enough: if it weren't for these books, my MCAT score would have been much lower.
ExamKrackers -- 6 books -- 101 Verbal Passages, 1001 Questions in Physics, 1001 Questions in Gen Chem, 1001 Questions in Biology, 1001 Questions in Organic Chemistry, EK Biology Review.
EK's Verbal book is considered the best source of VR practice that you can buy in stores. Between this and TPR Verbal Workbook, I exhausted the best resources available for this section on the MCAT. The 1001 Questions EK books are great review material. I underestimated how valuable they would actually be, but closer to my test date I found that they were essential for helping my recall abilities months after I had finished reviewing. The EK Biology Review book was incredibly helpful. While TBR is the undisputed best source of practice passages, EK was my go-to source of Biology review because of how condensed and efficient it was. Even if you have TBR, this is the only EK topic review book that is a must-have.
The Princeton Review Hyperlearning Verbal Workbook -- Not sold in stores. This book took me a long time to find. I did not need the entire Hyperlearning series, so it was tough trying to get my hands on just the verbal workbook, which is considered the best VR practice out there. But since you have to take the $2000 class to get this book I was lucky to find it alone. Other than the aforementioned minor markings, it's in pristine condition and gave me more practice than I was able to take advantage of. This is the only book I will part with separately.
For all 15 books: $500, paypal.
