They are being very cryptic.

"Pelvic mass" in a man is most likely a colon tumor, but could be bladder or a sarcoma. They are resecting the recurrence which is unusual except for the fact that he is a VIP who is willing to take chances. No metastases but with a local recurrence would tend to favor a sarcoma to me. Not sure why they would now start giving so much detail but yet leave out the diagnosis. Unless it's something that has an association that he doesn't want to be made - like something AIDS related.
 
I thought they/somebody had said in the past (when it was first announced) that it was definitely a "colon cancer" and that he'd been treated with partial colectomy and adjuvant chemo? Or am I thinking of Castro?
 
Castro had Colon cancer that for awhile they were saying was diverticulitis I think. Then he had chemo, so that is probably him.
