Hello,

I know there is a consensus that the science letter definitely needs to be signed by a professor. I was wondering if a humanities letter can be written by a TA? I have 5 letters in total. 2 letters are science professors, two are academic physicians, and the humanities letter might be just a TA's letter if the professor didn't know me enough.

Would this be a big issue?

I probably wouldn't get a letter from a TA, but that's just me. Depends on the credentials of the TA. Probably wouldn't mean much compared to a letter from a prof.

Lol you obviously need a humanities professor LOR to satisfy that requirement for the schools that necessitate it. Why would a humanities letter be less important than a science?

Stop trying to cut corners. You need a real letter. Why you'd think humanities would be treated as such a joke they'd accept a TA letter is beyond me.
