You have quite a treasure there in that horadric cube.I just woke up. Had a dream that I was down by a beach to watch the giant waves roll in. Had my GoPRO camera and a hand axe (for reasons unclear to me). There was a giant party scene there. People all just having a blast. Surfers riding 100 foot waves that stayed politely in the ocean.
Everything was cool until one large rock near the beach started glowing green and everyone screamed and scattered because... that meant that the video game boss fight was about to begin. A giant squid broke out of the glowing green rock and started ruining people's party. I guess that was what the hand axe was for. LFG, squiddy.
The squid waved it's arms and shot these glowing green projectiles into the air that were shaped like weird Chinese characters. The chick that I was talking to took a shot to her arms, and we learned that it made them "transparent and unable to be used". Didn't hurt, just rendered them useless. You could see right thru the arms, which were now outlined, but translucent and pixelated. She pleaded with me to break the spell by killing the squid. I followed her video game logic. Had to chop off the arms one by one with the hand axe, then collect the triforce afterwards.
I woke up after taking off two of the tentacles. The axe got bigger after each one and had an "added effect" of like, showering sparks all over the place or becoming sharper.
Then I woke up. Didn't get to save the girl! WTF?!
Moral of the story: Don't take 100mg of benadryl to fall asleep after staying up waaay too late playing Diablo 2 Resurrected.
Oh, yeah - the HURRICANE, right.
I'm right on the path.
The house is not in a flood zone, and out of storm surge reach.
I am stocked with food/water/etc. This is as good as I'm gonna get.
All my facilities have been closed and evacuated.
They think they're gonna open on Thursday night.
They didn't learn from two years ago with Hurricane Ian that every road was flooded between Sarasota and Fort Myers, rendering travel impossible for about a week.
Admins gonna admin. Hurr durr.
I promise rad GoPro footage.
I wonder how Lt Dan is doing on his 20 foot sailboat?

Tampa’s Lt. Dan remains on boat despite mayor saying he was in a shelter ahead of Hurricane Milton
A man who gained notoriety for riding out Hurricane Helene on a boat docked just off Bayshore Blvd. has yet to hunker down in a shelter ahead of Hurricane Milton.www.fox13news.com
I was confused what I read on X, Twitter, whatever it's called today. Saw some reports he was taken to a shelter and other reports that they later saw him on the boat. I think there was even something in that article I linked that said the police took him to a shelter.Word locally is that someone has taken him to a shelter.
and this is why I will soon have Starlink for backup... Verizon Home Internet goes down with severe storms. We had 3 massive 50 year old laurel oaks taken out in January as they were a) dying and b) really close to both ours and next door neighbor's houses. They very well might have come down on the house, like one did 4 houses down. Chainsawed out of neighborhood, power went out at 2 am which might have been eye-wall related, just back on at 9:30 last night. Verizon down as well, so basically no communication for hours unless borrowed a neighbor's cell. Brother and SIL bugged out of Clearwater to stay with us as their community is still recovering from Helene, where they caught 6-8 feet of surge.
Lost 2 pool screens, my papaya tree got knocked over but is now propped up and may survive, lots of tree debris, but we're ok too.
Not foolproof, but I have firstnet for my cell service. AT&T said being an ER doc counted as a first responder back when I signed up. Good coverage, cheap, can tether and if there's ever a disaster and lines are busy, firstnet will automatically kick people off the network to allow for you to make a call if required.and this is why I will soon have Starlink for backup... I use Firstnet too. Good service, good price for unlimited data, I think $45 per month. Not foolproof, but I have firstnet for my cell service. I have FirstNet through my fire department phone. It's better, but can't overcome the tower being down. Not foolproof, but I have firstnet for my cell service.
