Has anybody applied to Husson University's OT Program? Does the program participate in rolling admission or would they look at all applications after the deadline?

Also to those who were accepted (this year or even in the previous years), what are your stats??

Katy from Admissions said that all applications will be reviewed on May 1st and will be notified prior to June 1st of their decision.

Did you take the Intro to Research course? Where can you take it?

mgOT, my major at my university required us to take a class called "Research for the Healthcare Professional" which is equivalent to the Research class they are asking for. I probably should ask them just in case, but looking at the description for that pre-req and the description for the research class I took, they basically say the same thing.

There must be an online research class somewhere. I would check the closest CC and ask an advisor to help you out. They should have some resources to help you find a class, whether it is online or not, that meets the research requirement! 🙂

I'm a psychology major and my major required me to take a Research Methods class too. I emailed the Admissions Coordinator to double check if the class I took would be equivalent and she said it is. They might not be too particular about what kind of research class it is but I would definitely confirm it with Husson 🙂

Is the course a form of Statistics? Where can I find the course description? I emailed the Admission Assistant so waiting for her reply. Also, does anyone know how many applicants with undergrad degree are being accepted? On the website it said there are total of 40 seats but I assume some of the seats are for their dual-degree students.

My course is equivalent to their course. Here is the syllabus so you might be able to get an idea of what they are looking for:

Our course was about validity, reliability, experimental designs, and research studies. We basically had to write several research studies based on an experiment we designed. We had a separate statistics class. You do use statistics in this course but it is more focused on research.

I took the Excelsior College Exam (ECE) Research Methods in Psychology, 3 credits, $100 plus $25 for the practice exams, Amazon used text book and two weeks of studying. I graduated from Excelsior so it is on my transcript as a class. Best fast option to complete this prerequisite. Some schools take it, some not, check with Husson. Check the link here.

Thank you so much for the advice! I will look into this. And Good Luck! 🙂

Hey OT people, sorry for the cross post but I cant find anything in the PT forum on Husson....

I recently was accepted into the DPT professional program and am looking for fellow students that are either attending or just were accepted to Husson(OT or DPT) that could tell me more about the school/housing/ect.

Im super stoked and am just finding it really hard to connect to current students to find out more info

Thanks!
