is it me, or did the HY gross seem heavy on the path and light on the gross?
i prefer it that way, but is that what the boards tests? i assume so.
anyway, i hate cross sections and i hate "what layers are pierced in the correct order" questions...
anyone know how often cross section and the sort show up on step 1?
thanks,

I feel the exact same way and was disapointed in HY. There seems to be no good gross review books that give a concise review of important landmarks, basic anatomy etc. Hy is kinda silly because most of that path stuff is in BRS path or other path review books and is better explained so its kinda a waste to throw all that stuff in HY. I just read teh anatomy stuff and skip the path things as i cover that in other books. I had to bust out my Moore essentials because that is the closest i have found to a concise review with good pictures. What i have found helpful is the blue boxes in either moore baby or reg moore. Even if you dont read the text just browse through the blue boxes. I find using HY anatomy. the actually anatomy stuff and the blue boxes for each section gives a nice mix of important clinical, landmarks and other important relationships for anatomy.

If you can get a hold of a Kaplan Lecture Note anatomy book it does a good job of reviewing actual anatomy and a piss poor job of review anatomy pathology so its a great combo I think w/ HY anatomy...or atleast I hope so since that's what i wasted 4 days doing for gross and neuro combined 😳
