Anyone know of an article depicting incidence in a percent (or ratio) form of risk factors in a hospital accounting for hypoglycemic events?

thanks

You sure are asking for a lot of articles........makes me a little suspicious.....

I know, I was thinking "guru of what?"

Was a legit question... i'm doing safety monitoring for a network of hospitals and have discovered hypoglycemia to be responsible for more than 70% of ADEs. Trying to pull together statistical data from other facilities/research articles.

Always a possibility someone has already done the research....right?

I don't think this is the best place to get that information. There are multiple listservs from our national professional organizations where you can get protocols and data from all over the country.

Last year the hospital where I was working had a disproportionately high ordering and dispensing rate of glucagon and/or D50 for patients also receiving insulin (compared to other UHC hospitals)

So I did a MUE and found that the vast majority were being treated for hyperkalemia rather than hypoglycemia.
