Hi guys,

As some of you know, I am not from the United States. I am pursuing the final year of my Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at the moment and the amount of clinical pharmacy included in this year is too much for me to handle.

Personally, I have never been a clinical person. I am very very very very inclined towards pharmaceutics and that's the only reason why I chose to do pharmacy. I plan to pursue a DPharm degree when I have graduated. However, in order to do so, I need to get through the pile of clinical pharmacy first. And do well in them so that I can be considered for postgraduate studies.

I have been feeling depressed lately, mainly because I have to force myself to study clinical pharmacy. I'm just wondering....................................................... what can I do about it?

You can find a health professional to talk to, because that's what I do when I have a hard time with things in pharmacy school. It doesn't always help me get better instantly, but I do feel better afterwards.

we all gotta do **** we don't want to do to get what we want. Its a step along the way, and I feel that pharmacy school is just an obstacle course with a lot of ****ing hoops you have to jump through.

Well you can always slack off on the clinical pharm stuff , just study the minimum and take comfort in the fact that you will never need to remember any of it. ! 😀 There is always that.

Just spend time each day picturing yourself doing your dream job, in this case, being a drug scientist, and picture how close you are to it. This helps me, and pharmacy school is more or less irrelevant when it comes to nuclear pharm, so I feel your pain.

And yeah, like the 2nd poster said, spend some time with a scientist.

I'm sorry. We all have to do something we don't want to do. Everyone has a problem and thats yours. you just have to get through it. take it 1 step at a time. Maybe try to take a break and see some family (or do something else that is enjoyable to you). Reward yourself everytime you get a little bit done. You're almost there!!
