I just interviewed there today! The interview wasn't nearly as stiff as others make it seem... the interviewers were really nice. Don't stress so much! 🙂

Congrats guys for getting an interview! Are there any tips you can give with regards to the whole interview process? Were there particularly hard questions to watch out for? Thanks and goodluck!!

They really didn't ask me any difficult questions. One question caught me really off-guard--I guess one of my LORs described me as "inspired and fearless" and they asked me what I thought that meant. I REALLY was not expecting that. They made positive comments about my OAT and asked how I prepped. They asked me to explain my research and asked more about one of the clubs I'm involved in. They asked me what do I "know" about optometry (that one was a little too open-ended, and I think I ended up going off on a couple tangents). Why SUNY, how do I spend my free time... like I said, things that I could have expected (for the most part).

I haven't heard back yet (they said to give it a week or two), so hopefully I answered these "not too surprising questions" well!

Great! Thanks so much, and hopefully you hear back with good news soon 🙂
