WHAT DO I DO?!?
I guess there is nothing i really CAN do, but I am really really upset. i have beenwaiting for pharmcas to calculate my gpa and today they finally did. They calculated that my science GPA is a 3.7 (54 credits), my math gpa is a 2.87 (31 credits), and my overall gpa is (ready for this?) a 2.88!!!!!!! After I enter my fall courses (I took 16 credits and got all A's) I will have a 2.95. I am SO upset, I really thought that I had closer to a 3.05.
I have a BS in computer science which is why my gpa is so low... i hated my major. my pcat scores are an 89 composite. Can someone tell me HONESTLY if i have even a slight chance of getting accepted anywhere? Has anyone even heard of someone who got accepted with a gpa that low?

Actually, I think you might still have a chance because you're science GPA is unusually high. I recommend explaining your low GPA in your personal statement. Ask your school advisor. She/he should be able to advise you on what to do. They can make ANYTHING look good almost.

But you got to do something about your math GPA. Did you get A's in Calculus? If so, then it should be fine since Calculus is a pre-requisite.

What is your pre-requisite GPA?

Got a quick question. I got a C in precalc but got an A in calc. (teacher was horrible in precalc.) Becasue of that it made my gpa low. Will pharmacy school look at the precalc grade or only the Calculus grade.

Apply to UF. They only look at your prerequisite GPA (bio I & II, chem I & II, org I & II, physics I & II, A&P I & II, Calculus I, plus lab grades).

Thank you so much everyone for writing back! I had a similar problem, I got a D in precalc in 1996 which is why my math gpa is so low! I think they take notice of that. I also got an A in Calc I and in Calc III (and a C in calc II because my teacher was a jerk)
