Good Afternoon everyone. I know that you are probably tired of people posting "can I get into grad school" posts...but this too is one of those 🙂. I have never been more nervous or terrified in my life! My professors dance around my questions, and I figure that here I can get an Honest answer. I have spent so much time, effort and money studying for the GRE's looking into graduate school etc and all I want to know is if I have a chance. So, if those of you out there we are Clinical Psychologists, or have recently gotten into clinical PhD programs can look at my qualifications and honestly let me know, you would be my hero's thanks!
Here goes nothing:
GPA: 3.7
Major: psychology
Minor: Honors Program
GRE Score: estimated to be in the 12-1300 range
Research: I am submitting a poster to the MPA spring conference and am currently working on developing a grant proposal testing the effectiveness of current sexual education programs for middle school aged girls. I also have done a full out research project on the effects of intermmediate familial happiness and romatnic relationship satisfaction
I am the vice president of my sorority, a psi chi member, golden key member, and work as a research assistant at a museum
Letters of Rec: will be really good I think....but who doesn't?
I have taken bio courses, 2 stats classes so I have a little background in anatomy and math...
What do you think???

I'm pretty sure, as anyone here will probably tell you, that there's really no telling. You look like a good applicant but there are many, many good applicants for each program. In the end, it comes down to research match, so be sure you pick potential advisors whose work you could really be passionate about. You statement of purpose is the easiest way for an advisor to see if you would be a good match, so spend a lot of time on it...don't focus too much on your achievments which they can see from other documents, but instead use the SOP to show your interest in the professor's research and suggest potential new directions you could take it. Hope this helps, and good luck.

EDIT: bear in mind that I'm only an undergrad, so I'm only repeating what I've been told.
