Hi!

my test is only 3 days away. so i took the practice topscore test, the questions gchem and ochem are really straighforward but oh my god, i always run out of time on the gchem part since there are too many raw calculation. At the end, i only have like 15 mins left for ochem.
Am i ****ed????
What can i do???
I am so freaked out!!!!!!!!

Hey I know how you feel. Really work on your timing because I didn't for GCHEM and it came back to bite me... I knew how to solve over 90% of the science questions but it doesn't matter if you can't complete it in a given amount of time. The next 3 days just focus on getting your speed up and you'll be fine.

i would just take a few more tests and work on your speed. this test may have been a fluke, so if take a few additional tests to see if there is a trend. if you continue to run out of time, you may want to consider pushing your test day back a bit. are you applying this cycle? if so, then retesting at this point is probably not an option, but if not, pushing your test back two weeks or so, and really making sure you know everything cold by your test date may be your best option. i know there is a small fee, but the piece of mind and confidence going into the test will correlate to a much better score on test day.

So, you might have a lot of calculations, half, or nearly none. So relax.
Lastly, O-chem shouldn't require much time.

From my experience, I think you may be able to relax a bit. I remember getting totally screwed for time in the QR part b/c of the marker and dry erase pad but I don't remember having to do much writing for the GC. I think I remember most of the questions being conceptual or simple calculations.

U will be fine. Almost everyone in this forum has been through this torture experience. Just calm urself down enough in exam, and I believe that u will be fine!😍 good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry too much. I remember on Topscore i would finish the sciences right on the dot or like 1 or 2 minutes left. On the actual exam i had 10 minutes left after finishing the sciences.

The GChem on the actual exam was a lot easier and i didn't even have to open the exhibit. I only used it once and i noticed i didn't have to use it again. Everything is given in the question.
