Hey guys,
I am new, and currently a Junior.
my GPA is a 3.0 and I am really interested in NOVA.
I plan on bring my GPA up (still taking upper level classes)
and soon will be signing up for the OAT.

I guess what I would like to know is that if for some weird situation I stay at a 3.0, with a decent OAT score, are my chances with NOVA possible? I know the website mentioned that it was, however I would take real life situations over claims🙂

Plus has anyone got into NOVA with such a grade, or lower?
Thanks🙂

Hey, I was offered an interview at NOVA with a 3.1 GPA but my OAT scores were 350 AA 360 TS. I canceled my interview b/c I got accepted at SCO but I wanted to let you know that it's definitely possible to at least be offered an interview! 🙂 Just make sure you do well on the OAT!

Congratz!!!! SCO is the school I'm leaning towards too. I recieved information for state residency certification but no interview invite =( I'm worried. How was the interview? I'm really happy for you.

To OP: I will agree with JMU07, you will need to do very well on the OAT. I got an interview at NOVA with Stats 3.64, but OAT AA 320 TS 330 these scores are on the lower side, but I you can see my GPA has helped, so the reverse should also. Please prepare for the exam its not easy, it covers really basic yet random subtopics in the science in my opinion, but its doable. Good luck, and pump up your app with exposure in the field and community service =)

The interview was really low-stress, I didn't feel scared or intimidated at all. I posted my feedback in the interview section on SDN, so if you click on the SCO feedback you should see my stuff there! 🙂

GPA: 3.0 (top 30 ranked school)
OAT: 330 AA/350 TS
Interviewed: March
Extracurriculars: LOTS of volunteering, and a few leadership roles

It's possible...though, apply early, esp. if you're a FL resident b/c they like to keep a good ratio of in-state and out-of-state. Also, practice interviewing, the interview is pretty chill, but know your stuff. Every school is getting tougher every year though, so you gotta step it up a notch too.
