So here it is, I failed Orgo I and II, got a D in Physics, C in chem and biol.. Oh and a 20 on the MCAT.. I can get into a DO school right? you know, since they accept mediocre students... Right? Wrong!!

I scored a 31 on the MCAT, GPA was 3.4 Science GPA was 3.7 oh, and i did alot of research at an ivy league school. Yeah i had the volunteer work and everything i need.

I applied to 15 DO schools and got 5 interview (accepted to all 5).. So if 10 DO schools rejected me with those stats I think that shows that DO schools are competitive like MD schools.. I'm sick of people thinking that DO schools are easy to get into.. Why don't you apply to TCOM and see what they say about your application..

BTW I am very happy with the school I chose to attend.

I may be wrong about this, but DO schools may be hesitant about applicants with good/great stats because many apply to MD schools also. If they sense that you'd rather matriculate to a MD school or you probably will, a DO school may not bother accepting you. This is all based on that you showed a vested interest in the DO philosophy. I do agree that DO school can be as competitive as MD schools. I don't think anyone should consider themselves a "sure in."
