Pathology is still one of the least competitive specialties out there. The truth is that there ARE more AMGs going into it, with a considerable number of very good candidates. So, your middle programs are going to get better candidates than they would in the past, and average applicants may not get their first choice.

However, it still ain't like Ortho, Derm, Plastics, or Rads at all.
