Let the wait begin...will it really take PharmCAS 5 weeks to calculate my GPA? Will they send my application to my schools before or after?
Best of luck! Have you heard anything from your schools yet?I submitted mine in early Sept and got verified exactly a month later. Pharmcas got all my transcripts in early August.
I've gotten 1 interview so far. Still waiting for 1 recommendation letter from my professor 😀 pharmacy school admission is like 50% stress, 40% waiting, and 10% fees hahaBest of luck! Have you heard anything from your schools yet?
Can you send in your application if letters of recom. are not posted on pharmcas app ?I've gotten 1 interview so far. Still waiting for 1 recommendation letter from my professor 😀 pharmacy school admission is like 50% stress, 40% waiting, and 10% fees haha
yes you can. you can even add/remove your references after you submit your app.Can you send in your application if letters of recom. are not posted on pharmcas app ?
THat's fabulous, congrats! I'm sure the interview will go well! How are you prepping for that part?I've gotten 1 interview so far. Still waiting for 1 recommendation letter from my professor 😀 pharmacy school admission is like 50% stress, 40% waiting, and 10% fees haha

So if I submit it now without any letters of recommendations in wouldn't that look bad for my application since all of the materials are not there?
hey I have a little question lol sorry, I am filling my app right now (a little bit late but oh well) and I am totally confused with the transcript request form, should I take the form to admissions or whoever is in charge of transcripts in my college and ask them to put the form with it? I've gone to 2 colleges, one of them I was able to do it online, but the other one is not giving me the option of adding any form and not even to send it to Pharmcas...thanks so much 🙂yes you can. you can even add/remove your references after you submit your app.

Did you get your own personal copy just to make sure that everything was attached properly and if they did send the right transcript? Also, should I send in the application without my letters of recommendations in ? ThanksI attended 3 colleges at 3 different states lol. Yes just take ask them to send the form with your transcript. I was able to attach the form to only two of my transcript. PharmCAS has a PO box address so just send it there (PharmCAS Transcript Department P.O. Box 9109 Watertown, MA 02471). The transcript without the form arrived just fine (around the same time as the other 2 with the forms) but that was early August. Idk if it will take longer now or not 😀

no i didnt. An extra copy at my school would cost $15 and i dont want to pay for that 😀 I requested my transcripts in mid July and Pharmcas got them less than 2 weeks later. Yes definitely submit your app. It would take about a month to be verified and your references can be completed while waiting.Did you get your own personal copy just to make sure that everything was attached properly and if they did send the right transcript? If I submit the application now, wouldn't it look bad since the letters are not in? I was thinking of submitting in Mid-Nov but I am not sureno i didnt. I am sending mine without the PCAT because I am taking it nov 6, without 2 LORs, and probably without my transcripts because I don't think they will arrive in less than 2 weeks, who knows, I think is ok to send the app without all that, somebody correct me if I am wrong 🙂If I submit the application now, wouldn't it look bad since the letters are not in? I was thinking of submitting in Mid-Nov but I am not sure
Really? I mean wouldnt that be a disadvantage since if the app is already in they will be waiting on stuff either way?I am sending mine without the PCAT because I am taking it nov 6, without 2 LORs, and probably without my transcripts because I don't think they will arrive in less than 2 weeks, who knows, I think is ok to send the app without all that, somebody correct me if I am wrong 🙂
I don't think is bad, I have a friend who had everything but one LOR, when the professor submitted the letter, the school immediately sent him an interview, so we believe they were just waiting for that to offer him the interview right away. I am not too sure about the transcripts, before I submit the app, I'll check that, but without the PCAT and the LORs I think is ok.Really? I mean wouldnt that be a disadvantage since if the app is already in they will be waiting on stuff either way?
still be sure to check everything before submitting 🙂Really? I mean wouldnt that be a disadvantage since if the app is already in they will be waiting on stuff either way?
Oh I see, yea transcripts may be required but pcat is okay if you submit later. I have transcripts in and the pcat in just waiting on my letters. I also entered all the extracurricular stuff in. Did you take your pcat btw?still be sure to check everything before submitting 🙂

i think it's best to submit your app early and get it verified. Most schools (or all of them) won't start reviewing your application until they have received every required document. So if you submit your app now, your schools won't look at your application until it is verified (~ Mid November) so they won't even know it looks bad or whatever 😀
In the case if your app is verified and you're just missing 1 letter, the schools will review your app and wait for that last letter to invite you to an interview (if they like you)
for schools that require the PCAT, i'm pretty sure no. But there are schools that only require the PCAT for matriculation so they may offer you an interview. Just call to make sure.Do you think they would send interview invitation without seeing your PCAT score?

for schools that don't, yes 😀
no, I am taking the PCAT nov 6, how was yours? I am starting to get nervous LOL, and at this point I am like I don't know what else to study lol, I am doing Dr Collins and pearson practice tests and memorizing stuffs, oh in math is there a lot of calculations? I am really slow on that :/Oh I see, yea transcripts may be required but pcat is okay if you submit later. I have transcripts in and the pcat in just waiting on my letters. Most of my transcripts I was able to include the form...for the one I wasn't able I included my PharmCAS id # in the addresse...PharmCAS c/o pharmcas id # It was processed with no issues and no delays that I'm aware of...hey I have a little question lol sorry, I am filling my app right now (a little bit late but oh well) and I am totally confused with the transcript request form, should I take the form to admissions or whoever is in charge of transcripts in my college and ask them to put the form with it? Not sure if it always goes fine, but for me it did. My school was also in another state. You could see if you can fax them the form?So that means we can send transcript without that form and it goes fine? I went to this school in other state and they don't have option for any attachments. So i was thinking on sending request by mail. I was so worried about the time its going to take to process. Its good to hear that some of you were able to submit transcript without issue.

Let me tell you the first time i took the pcat i got a 15 then I jumped 51 points. If you focus on Dr. Collins and get the microbio down solid you should be fine. Keep going over kaplan book for biology. For chemistry Dr. collins is fine and for math idk i didnt do well but i just did many problems as I can from interactmath.com lolno, I am taking the PCAT nov 6, how was yours? For me it took about 2-3 weeks for them to post, close to 2 weeksI called pharmcas and they said its not necessary to send transcript form. But it might delay process for day or two. I already checked status of my transcripts, it says they are already mailed but in pharmcas it says "not received". How long it takes pharmcas to update that they received transcripts?
And how long after that to calculate your GPA?For me it took about 2-3 weeks for them to post, close to 2 weeks
