I don't understand the DAT scoring guide?!?!

okay so on the ADA webstie they have the scoring guide but I'm really confused about how they score RC?? It only goes up to 17 so I don't undesratnd what that means?

They only include one practice RC passage on that practice exam, so the score for the sample test is based off a raw score where the maximum is 17, since that's the number of questions there are from that passage. On the real DAT the raw score will be up to 50.
