My question about what I said in the title is how much worse do you think this would look to adcoms than an A in both? That C really has me stressed lol.

Assuming your overall GPA is good and you get mostly A’s in your other prereqs, this will not matter at all.

^^ agree. They also may appreciate the improvement between semesters. Improvement is always better than the red flag of doing worse later on.

Throwing a little water here, Physics 2 content doesn't carryover from Physics 1. Otherwise, I agree with everyone else that you adjusted.

Remember, by the time you apply to medical school you will have potentially over 120 undergraduate credit hours. Few ADCOMs break down your academic trend to such a granularity. As long as you do the best you can in advanced coursework, you ought not be penalized for having an upwards trend.

If you earn 120 credits in college, which is pretty typical unless you have a ton of AP credit, you will have the possibility of earning 480 grade points. If Physics I is 4 credits, and you earned a C rather than an A, you lost 8 grade points out of the 480 that are possible. That is less than 1.7% of your GPA. It is a little more of a hit within your science GPA but if you do well in biology, chemistry, organic chem, and math, that one lower grade is not the end of the world.
