I got accepted to NYU and UMDNJ.
But I am not really doing well in my classes right now..
I am taking only 2 classes (biotech and immunology) and I think I will end up getting a C and B.
How badly do I have to mess up now for NYU to take away my acceptance???
a D?

I dont think 2 b's would ruin your chances, a C would be risking it a little..

It seems like most schools I have heard of require a C or higher in your classes. Keep in mind that some residency programs will look at your undergraduate transcripts.

clearly Listed on their websites all you gotta do is LOOK

Best not to screw around. When you get to DS, you'll have to get used to an increased workload, so it's best not to develop any bad habits now.

Congratulations on your accomplishment!

i think Bs are fine, but on NYU's letter they said that you need to maintain the same standard or better. dunno what that exactly means...i think if you've always been an A/B student, then getting a C might draw attention. any accepted students from last year know about this?

I would find it hard to imagine they revoke your acceptance for even getting two C's, but I also wouldn't risk it.

The letter states that you have to perform at or better than your record has shown, which means that legally they could reject you if they wanted if you got an A & B, but had a 4.0 previously (obviously they wouldn't, but they could).

So if I was you, I would shoot for at least the B's in each, and then if you happen to mess up and get a C, well, I wouldn't really worry about it, because it would still be very unlikely to have your acceptance revoked.

last two courses? I would be surprised if they revoked your acceptance with 2 Cs. I mean come on, how many courses have we done so far?

Okay thank you..
Cause I am really worried..
I knew that it's rly important to keep up with my school work and grades..
But I am pretty sure I will get a C and a B for this semester..
So..
Just wanted to make sure..

I dont really know anything about this question but it seems most important that you finish your degree and have all the prereqs completed C or better... other than that It's hard to imagine them pulling the rug from under you like that for not performing as high in your classes.

Don't get too comfy.

Every year you'll read of students encroaching the C- zone on some prereqs/regular courses...

a D?

Hi

First Congrats on your acceptance to both school.

I am a grduate of UMDNJ class of 88.

I had no problems with B or C but in my opinion getting a D would not be to good so if you can go for the C I think that would not be a problem.
