i have been. i've been doing camels and shimmies in the lab all day...

in answer to how long/how i found out. i interviewed on march 2nd, and i called today b/c i have a deposit due at another school tomorrow that i didn't want to throw away the money for if i was getting into nycom. i explained my situation and she told me.

thank you for the congrats everyone! i feel like miss america or something. everyone who knows at work is high-fiving me and everything.

good luck to everyone still waiting for something, and fyi, this frees up spots at Touro-MI, Touro-NV, and MSUCHM. i hope that they go to people who will love those schools in ways i couldn't have.

yes. i thought nycom's facilities were better, the rotations were better, and the people i met were more fun, not to mention that i can live in NYC (queens) instead of the middle of the midwest (ugh).

either way, i'll be a doctor. and as much as "the experience is what you make of it" you have to have decent ingredients to bake a good cake...and i'm just not a small midwestern-town girl at all, so none of the ingredients were right for me.

Congrats noonday!!!! Enjoy your day and time before the REAL work starts. Trust me, it goes fast!! You will love your medical school transition, and with hard work, you'll be an excellent physician before you know it!! 😀

i hear you on the first part.

as for the second, the way i see it, 5 months until i START enjoying life...i've been in a career that's not right for me for over 7 years. med school seems like a dream. now it's one that's coming true!
