i got questions about preparation for usmle step 1...

hi,

i am about to start preparation for usmle and i got a few questions on the classes and materials in the market. i hope you can help me out.

1. how good are the kaplan classes? if i want to take the classes, are the staff in kaplan good for usmle prepartion? how about those lecture notes series sold by kaplan?

2. some of my friends suggest some prepartion material called gojian... what exactly is gojian? how good is the gojian material?

3. any other recommedation or suggestion? i now have a copy of first aid 2007 and step up.


that is all my questions. there is so much marterial for usmle. i would appreciate it very much if you can share your exprience of usmle preparation with me. i am a bit confused over so much available material in the market and i am trying my best to come out with a battle plan.

Normally I would suggest that someone use the search function first when they come to a forum like this for the first time. Lots of information to commonly asked questions can be found that way. Take a while digesting what has been said previously, and if you still have specific questions or need clarification about something, ask away.

But MY GOD... there are like 5 Kaplan threads and 3 Goljan threads just on the VERY FIRST PAGE as I take a quick look right now. I think there are several more Goljan threads lurking on the second page.

If you can't be bothered to even look at the bottom of your screen and read the existing threads, some of which are just hours old, first... well...
