Hello, its me the complicated case...i started preparation more than a year ago with FA and UW but when i went to UWSA i got really low scores so i canceled my exam and i decided to start all over again with KAPLAN LECTURES dvds and notes🙁 then UW again .....this time i did NBME 7 and i got 175 score which is pretty low👎
so i told myself i got to start allover again with revision of kaplan notes and UW AND MY SCORE WENT UP TO 205 IN nbme 11
I scheduled my exam but i again decided to try Rx bank to hit the 99 score i did half of Rx bank and some of kaplan qbank which i found it soo hard and didnt finish it(za kaplan qbank)
but when it come to have the exam after tomorrow i did NBME 13 and i got 195 score so iam not going to exam😡😡😡😡
I NEED ADVICE i am dreaming with the 99 score how could i get zat i spend aloot of money by cancelling exams and buying q banks and also i am tired of studing the same thing for more zan a year and iam not moving alot toward z score i wish to get
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ANY IDEAS???????????

From what you are saying, you have already covered all the material needed for step 1. So what I would do now, is just memorize FA! Memorize the crap out of it. It really goes a long way. And this is not my advice, this is advice given by mostly everyone on the forum. Do first aid and nothing else within a week or 10 days, and then take the NBME again, and see how you do.

From afar it seems that you're focusing on too many resources and neglecting First Aid. Really all you need is to memorize whats in FA and learn how to apply it through UWorld. Just focus on doing that as opposed to different books and Kaplan stuff and you'll be fine.

I agree with everyone has said. I took my exam on the 14th (6 days ago, i think). All you need is FA, uworld and pathoma. However, you must be able to integrate everything. How can one be ready to integrate information? Understanding and memorization of first aid. Understanding and memorization go hand in hand. You can't integrate information through different disciplines if you can't recall it. And if you can't recall it then you haven't memorized it.

Questions banks are great to test and to learn. Same piece of information can be presented via 5 million ways.

thank you all ...but still how come FA is a better source than kaplan lecture notes BTW i studed FA early in preparation and as i got very low assessment i switched to KAPLAN NOTES

First Aid just is better than Kaplan Notes. I haven't looked at Kaplan but I believe FA is more concise and has the plain old facts and not a bunch of unneeded info. Theres a reason why everybody uses FA.

Memorize FA and try to apply it through Uworld.
