I have an interview scheduled for December. This is after I've already changed the date from sometime in October because I was waiting on another school's decision.
Anyways some things have just come up and I may be going to another country because my grandfather is really ill. This means I won't be able to go to this interview in December.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with the school on this? Should I just call them and ask to reschedule again?

you don't really have a choice unless you don't care about this school. call them and be honest about your situation. you can't control what they're going to think or how it'll affect your admissions. so just call 'em if you're still interested.

you shouldn't have rescheduled it in the first place. rescheduling once is bad enough. but twice? give them a break. they must think you put them on the bottom of your list and have no interest in attending there.

It actually is not even close to be a top choice, and unfortunatly actually was waitlisted at my top choice.

now you know. keep interviewing until you get an acceptance. students often get in trouble when they "put all their eggs in one basket" or they feel too confident about a school. the application process is too random to take any risks. 🙂

Megalofyia,

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather's illness. It must be very hard to deal with in the midst of all other things. I think that it would be okay to try to reschedule again, it doesn't hurt to try. Good luck with the other applications. I really hope you get into your top choice!!! 😉
